I love having a job that i can simply gather my things together and head to the local coffee shop to do my work for the day. I would classify myself as a people watcher so a busy coffee shop is the perfect spot for me. It is just enough distraction to keep me from getting board with my work, and the sound level is just enough to enjoy the music and still focus on my task at hand.

Today I have been working on budget for the church. It has been taking me all morning, but I have made great progress. Another good reason to love technology! All my work is synced up with my .mac, which means i have all the files i need on all my computers and i can access them remotely through the .mac website. .mac has been well worth it! My calendar, e-mails, and files are accessible to me anywhere and it syncs up whenever i want it to. Now go get yourself a .mac account!

Another plus of technology. Cell phones and e-mails. I realized there was one file that i didn’t have. So what do I do??? I call my administrator from the coffee shop (on my cell) and ask him to e-mail me the file. Bamm! It’s done! So all in all… with minimal effort, technology has aided me in accomplishing days of work in just hours of time. I guess it does help that i keep good files and I can pull up last years work and just "save as" and get to work.

Sure there is a learning curve for technology, but what doesn’t have a learning curve. Does technology help you? Still fighting the "anti technology" fight? Are you young or old? Is your opinion changed based on age or accessibility?
