Cecilia Elizabeth

February 15th, 2010

So our newest addition arrived at 9:44 am this morning. Cecila Elizabeth, weighing 8 llbs 4 oz. She’s met her big bro already, he pushed her and poked her and tried to steal her het. But in the end he gave her a great big kiss. Thanks for all the prayers. Just for fun, here’s a link to what Jay looked like when he was born.

Finally after about a month of me begging Alesha to get Jay’s haircut, she did it….and he looks great. However, he wasn’t happy about it.

Baby-Perkins-Ultrasound

For those of you haven’t heard, Jay is going to be a BIG (even though he’s a runt like his dad)Brother in February! Yes, we’re having a baby. Both momma and baby are doing well. We are almost out of the First trimester already. Alesha is 11 weeks along.

We had an apointment last week and everything looks good. Like big brother, this little one is very active. During the whole ultrasound, baby perkins never stopped moving. So it looks like we are definetly going to have our hands full! But we are excited. Please keep our family in your prayers.

Jay, is doing good too. I’ve posted a pic below and a couple of videos. He makes 14 months this coming Monday and he hasn’t slowed down yet!

Robots anyone

New Vaccum from John Perkins on Vimeo.

So I can remember as a kid watching the movie, “Flight of the Navigator” and seeing this Robot who came and brought food to the boy that had traveled through time, saying “Pardon me, Coming through!” And then there was “Short Circuit” with Johnny 5, R2D2 and CP3O from “Star Wars,” Alex Murphy in “RoboCop” (at 7 years old, this was a freaky movie) and who could forget the machines taking over in “Terminator.”

But I never thought I would own a Robot… until now.

Alesha got a new toy… an iRobot Roomba 535, and all I can say is WOW! This thing vaccums when you hit the clean button and when the battery gets low, it re-docks itself on the charging base. And, did I mention, we don’t have to do anything but hit the “clean” button.
